Clean a Windows disk without scareware meters

Preview every delete candidate, skip registry “optimizers,” and keep free space tools honest.

Disk cleaners earn trust when they show paths and sizes before anything is removed.

Start with Dustbin Cleaner

Dustbin Cleaner lists temp files, leftover installers, and browser caches. Nothing is deleted until you confirm the checklist. Registry cleaners are intentionally omitted.

Archives and leftovers

Old setup packages often hide in Downloads. Inspect them with Harbor Zip before you throw the archive away—some still hold license files you may need.

Integrity after cleanup

If you maintain a critical folder, baseline it with Watchfold so unexpected file changes show up on the next scheduled hash run.
