WhatsApp Messenger for Windows
by WhatsApp
Official WhatsApp desktop app for Windows from the Microsoft Store, linked to a phone-registered account.

WhatsApp Messenger for Windows is the free desktop client. A phone registers the account, and the PC joins as a linked device from the Microsoft Store.
Editorial description
WhatsApp Messenger on Windows is the linked desktop app from the publisher of the phone client. The official desktop download page tells Windows users to get it from the Microsoft Store. Softcoria does not host an installer. A phone must register the account first. The desktop app is a linked device, WhatsApp allows up to four linked devices, and the phone is still required both to register and to link a new device.
The official FAQ says the Windows desktop app supports Windows 10 64-bit version 1903 or later. Older Windows can use WhatsApp Web in a browser instead. WhatsApp Web is a separate browser session, not the Store app. The Microsoft Store listing also says Windows 10 version 19041.0 or higher. Those are two published statements, and this card does not merge them into a third figure.
Desktop voice calls need a microphone and internet. Video calls also need a camera. WhatsApp says personal calls are end-to-end encrypted and free aside from carrier data charges. A desktop version number, a price, and a download size are not published on the pages used here.
